Auto Outline

Options

Choose CAD plans from a large selection of professional mapping including OS MasterMap with additional layers.

Papersize

Check that your CAD maps fit perfectly to a specific scale, paper size, and orientation, such as landscape or portrait.

Rectangle

Using the Rectangle tool, define your CAD map’s area. Polygon and Set Area are two additional tools to help select odd shapes of land.

Many Users, Different Applications of CAD plans

The Telecoms Surveyor

David uses MapServe’s CAD plans in DWG format to find the mast location. He also uses the site's preview maps and aerial imagery to determine entry points for on-site visits.

The Architect

Leigh primarily orders CAD maps, which he then superimposes on sketches to find new accesses and how each site relates to a project. He also merges the maps with Google Street views in order to do site evaluations.

The Town Planner

Stuart uses maps on multiple occasions, including for planning applications, to check planning constraints and planning precedents in a given area and to obtain a certificate of lawful use, which can include evidence such as aerial imagery and CAD maps.
